The latest Bigfoot models are the result of over twelve year's hard work by Australian musician Peter Woolnough.From humble beginnings, working long hours in 'the shed', Peter hand crafted a stompy that at the time was considered 'state of the art'.
However they were time consuming to make, required an imported custom built preamp plus battery, and needed a lot of tweaking for best results.
Peter soon realized that if his fledgling business was to succeed, he had to streamline his production methods. What followed were years of trial and error, finally resulting in the development of the legendary "monster" pickup which does not require a preamp or battery.
Peter still hand crafts the latest Bigfoot stompies. His attention to detail ensures that 'Bigfoot' stands out from the crowd.
He has an enlarged workshop with more and better tools, and access to a vast range of mature, often very beautiful, salvaged woods thanks to Stan Ceglinski at the Billinudgel Woodworking Company ( biliwood@dodo.com.au )
